Artwork auctioned at three times the upper estimate price
When the work Wyn (Portrait Of The Artist As A Young Boy) by Lynyrd Paras was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2013, the result exceeded expectations many times over. The upper estimate was set at a - in retrospect quite modest - HKD 65,000.00 but the actual price achieved was more than three times as high at HKD 200,000.00 (€ 18,962.22). Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Lynyrd Paras; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Chaos In The Moment Of Silence sold at auction in October 2014 with the realized price of HKD 300,000.00 (€ 30,885.87).
Kunstwerk zum Dreifachen des oberen Schätzpreises versteigert
Als die Arbeit Wyn (Portrait Of The Artist As A Young Boy) von Lynyrd Paras im November 2013 bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert wurde, übertraf das Ergebnis die Erwartungen um ein Vielfaches. Der obere Schätzpreis war mit – rückwirkend betrachtet recht bescheidenen – HKD 65.000,00 angesetzt, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis hingegen war mit HKD 200.000,00 (€ 18.962,22) mehr als dreimal so hoch. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Lynyrd Paras; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Chaos In The Moment Of Silence im Oktober 2014 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 300.000,00 (€ 30.885,87).
