The work Four elements from the Night and Day Book by Lygia Pape was sold in the Latin America auction at Phillips in New York in November 2012. The »bidding war« ended at USD 206,500.00 (€ 158,724.06), 38% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Lygia Pape - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Livro noite e dia (Book of Night and Day), which sold at auction in May 2017 for USD 430,000.00 (€ 382,698.47).

Die Arbeit Four elements from the Night and Day Book von Lygia Pape wurde im November 2012 in der Auktion Latin America bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 206.500,00 (€ 158.724,06) und damit 38% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Lygia Pape mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Livro noite e dia (Book of Night and Day) beobachtet, die im Mai 2017 für USD 430.000,00 (€ 382.698,47) versteigert wurde.
