In January 2012 Sothebys in New York held the auction Old Master & 19th Century European Art, Including Property from The Forbes Collection: The Panorama of Champigny, which included the work Family Resting In A Park by Luis Graner. The result of USD 15,000.00 (€ 11,491.61) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Admittedly, works by Luis Graner have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Spanish maria in November 2010 with an auction result of USD 92,500.00 (€ 70,957.35).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Januar 2012 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Old Master & 19th Century European Art, Including Property from The Forbes Collection: The Panorama of Champigny durch, in der auch die Arbeit Family Resting In A Park von Luis Graner zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 15.000,00 (€ 11.491,61) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Luis Graner auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Spanish maria im November 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 92.500,00 (€ 70.957,35).
