It achieved a price of GBP 6,000.00 (€ 8,903.70), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 71%. Admittedly, works by Luis Graner have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Spanish maria in November 2010 with an auction result of USD 92,500.00 (€ 70,957.35).

Die Arbeit Tocando la guitarra (Playing the guitar) von Luis Graner kam im Juni 2007 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 6.000,00 (€ 8.903,70) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 71%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Luis Graner auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Spanish maria im November 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 92.500,00 (€ 70.957,35).
