Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Luis Cruz Azaceta was auctioned at Christies in New York in November 2006. The price achieved of USD 8,400.00 (€ 6,334.36) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Luis Cruz Azaceta - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Rafter: Hell Act I, which sold at auction in November 2010 for USD 23,750.00 (€ 18,218.78).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 8.400,00 (€ 6.334,36) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 7.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Luis Cruz Azaceta mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Rafter: Hell Act I beobachtet, die im November 2010 für USD 23.750,00 (€ 18.218,78) versteigert wurde.
