In November 2012 Sothebys in New York held the auction Latin American Art, which included the work Journey Xii by Luis Cruz Azaceta. The price achieved of USD 11,875.00 (€ 9,127.59) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Other works by Luis Cruz Azaceta have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in November 2010 the work Rafter: Hell Act I was auctioned for USD 23,750.00 (€ 18,218.78).
