Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Self-portrait Inside/Out by Luis Cruz Azaceta was sold in the Modern & Contemporary Cuban Art auction at Bonhams in February this year. The price achieved of USD 4,080.00 (€ 3,848.33) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 3,500.00 – 4,500.00. Admittedly, works by Luis Cruz Azaceta have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Rafter: Hell Act I in November 2010 with an auction result of USD 23,750.00 (€ 18,218.78).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Self-portrait Inside/Out von Luis Cruz Azaceta wurde im Februar diesen Jahres in der Auktion Modern & Contemporary Cuban Art bei Bonhams versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 4.080,00 (€ 3.848,33) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 3.500,00 – 4.500,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Luis Cruz Azaceta auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Rafter: Hell Act I im November 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 23.750,00 (€ 18.218,78).
