Auction result well in line with expectations
In December last year Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings, which included the work Ruins by Lui Shou-Kwan. The price achieved of HKD 327,600.00 (€ 39,258.10) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 300,000.00 – 400,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lui Shou-Kwan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Victoria Harbour After Rain in April 2013 with an auction result of HKD 4,240,000.00 (€ 415,048.60).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember letzten Jahres führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Ruins von Lui Shou-Kwan zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 327.600,00 (€ 39.258,10) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 300.000,00 – 400.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Lui Shou-Kwan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Victoria Harbour After Rain im April 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 4.240.000,00 (€ 415.048,60).
