Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Luk Chau, Lamma Island by Lui Shou-Kwan was auctioned at Christies in Cologne in May this year. It changed hands for a price of HKD 88,200.00 (€ 10,571.75) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 70,000.00 – 90,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lui Shou-Kwan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Victoria Harbour After Rain in April 2013 with an auction result of HKD 4,240,000.00 (€ 415,048.60).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Luk Chau, Lamma Island von Lui Shou-Kwan kam im Mai diesen Jahres bei Christies in Köln zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 88.200,00 (€ 10.571,75) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 70.000,00 – 90.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Lui Shou-Kwan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Victoria Harbour After Rain im April 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 4.240.000,00 (€ 415.048,60).
