Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Zen by Lui Shou-Kwan was sold in the Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings auction at Christies in Cologne in May this year. The price achieved of HKD 478,800.00 (€ 57,389.49) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 350,000.00 – 550,000.00. Admittedly, works by Lui Shou-Kwan have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Victoria Harbour After Rain in April 2013 with an auction result of HKD 4,240,000.00 (€ 415,048.60).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Zen von Lui Shou-Kwan wurde im Mai diesen Jahres in der Auktion Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings bei Christies in Köln versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 478.800,00 (€ 57.389,49) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 350.000,00 – 550.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Lui Shou-Kwan auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Victoria Harbour After Rain im April 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 4.240.000,00 (€ 415.048,60).
