Auction result well in line with expectations
In January 2013 Christies in New York held the auction Old Master & Early British Drawings & Watercolors Including an Important Canadian Collection and a Distinguished Private Collection, which included the work A Standing Apostle (Recto), Study Of An Assailant In The Stoning Of Saint Stephen (Verso) by Lodovico Cardi da Cigoli. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 21,875.00 (€ 16,103.50) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Lodovico Cardi da Cigoli have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Apparition of Christ to Saint Peter in July 2008 with an auction result of GBP 79,250.00 (€ 100,688.02).

Im Januar 2013 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Old Master & Early British Drawings & Watercolors Including an Important Canadian Collection and a Distinguished Private Collection durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Standing Apostle (Recto), Study Of An Assailant In The Stoning Of Saint Stephen (Verso) von Lodovico Cardi da Cigoli zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 21.875,00 (€ 16.103,50) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
