In November this year Phillips in New York held the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art, Evening Sale Part II, which included the work Dark companion by Lucy Bull. The »bidding war« ended at USD 1,041,400.00 (€ 954,712.14), 74% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Lucy Bull; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot 8:50 sold at auction in June last year with the realized price of HKD 11,382,000.00 (€ 1,385,105.36).

Im November diesen Jahres führte Phillips in New York die Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art, Evening Sale Part II durch, in der auch die Arbeit Dark companion von Lucy Bull zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 1.041.400,00 (€ 954.712,14) und damit 74% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Lucy Bull; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit 8:50 im Juni letzten Jahres mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 11.382.000,00 (€ 1.385.105,36).
