Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2016 Christies in London held the auction Impressionist & Modern Art, which included the work Port de Cannes by Lucien Adrion. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 3,000.00 – 500,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 6,875.00 (€ 8,252.24) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Lucien Adrion have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Deauville, Les Planches in November 2008 with an auction result of USD 104,500.00 (€ 82,322.36).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2016 führte Christies in London die Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Port de Cannes von Lucien Adrion zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 500.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 6.875,00 (€ 8.252,24) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Lucien Adrion auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Deauville, Les Planches im November 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 104.500,00 (€ 82.322,36).
