Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2016 Christies in London held the auction Impressionist & Modern Art, which included the work Marathon Olympique by Lucien Adrion. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 3,000.00 – 500,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 3,750.00 (€ 4,501.22) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lucien Adrion achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Deauville, Les Planches in November 2008 with an auction result of USD 104,500.00 (€ 82,322.36).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2016 führte Christies in London die Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Marathon Olympique von Lucien Adrion zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 500.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 3.750,00 (€ 4.501,22) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Lucien Adrion erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Deauville, Les Planches im November 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 104.500,00 (€ 82.322,36).
