This artwork by Lucas Gassel achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Amsterdam in May 2000. In the Old Master Pictures auction, the work Judah and Tamar sold for NLG 315,954.00 (€ 137,958.90) - well above the upper estimate of NLG 120,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Lucas Gassel - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Place forte dans un paysage d'hiver, which sold at auction in November last year for EUR 419,840.00.

Dieses Kunstwerk von Lucas Gassel erzielte im Mai 2000 bei Christies in Amsterdam einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Old Master Pictures wurde die Arbeit Judah and Tamar für NLG 315.954,00 (€ 137.958,90) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von NLG 120.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Lucas Gassel mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Place forte dans un paysage d'hiver beobachtet, die im November letzten Jahres für EUR 419.840,00 versteigert wurde.
