Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The grounds of a Renaissance Palace with episodes from the story of David and Bathsheba, an extensive landscape beyond by Lucas Gassel was auctioned at Christies in London in July 2005. The price achieved of GBP 72,000.00 (€ 104,435.32) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. Admittedly, works by Lucas Gassel have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Place forte dans un paysage d'hiver in November last year with an auction result of EUR 419,840.00.

Die Arbeit The grounds of a Renaissance Palace with episodes from the story of David and Bathsheba, an extensive landscape beyond von Lucas Gassel kam im Juli 2005 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 72.000,00 (€ 104.435,32) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 60.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Lucas Gassel auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Place forte dans un paysage d'hiver im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 419.840,00.
