However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Lucas Gassel - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Place forte dans un paysage d'hiver, which sold at auction in November last year for EUR 419,840.00.

Die Arbeit Landscape With The Return Of The Prodigal Son von Lucas Gassel kam im Juli 2017 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 150.000,00 (€ 167.376,97) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 100.000,00 – 150.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Lucas Gassel mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Place forte dans un paysage d'hiver beobachtet, die im November letzten Jahres für EUR 419.840,00 versteigert wurde.
