Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Venice, A View Of The Grand Canal With The Church by Luca Carlevarijs was auctioned at Sothebys in London in December 2019. It changed hands for a price of GBP 137,500.00 (€ 162,508.91) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. Admittedly, works by Luca Carlevarijs have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Venice: The Rialto Bridge from the North; and The Piazza San Marco in December 2003 with an auction result of GBP 1,125,250.00 (€ 1,593,769.19).

Die Arbeit Venice, A View Of The Grand Canal With The Church von Luca Carlevarijs kam im Dezember 2019 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 137.500,00 (€ 162.508,91) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 100.000,00 – 150.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Luca Carlevarijs auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Venice: The Rialto Bridge from the North; and The Piazza San Marco im Dezember 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.125.250,00 (€ 1.593.769,19).
