Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2021 Sothebys in London held the auction A Fine Line: Master Works on Paper from Five Centuries, which included the work View of St Mark's square from St Mark's church, with the church of St. Giminiano by Luca Carlevarijs. The price achieved of GBP 35,280.00 (€ 41,373.12) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 30,000.00 – 40,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Luca Carlevarijs achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Venice: The Rialto Bridge from the North; and The Piazza San Marco in December 2003 with an auction result of GBP 1,125,250.00 (€ 1,593,769.19).

Im Juli 2021 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion A Fine Line: Master Works on Paper from Five Centuries durch, in der auch die Arbeit View of St Mark's square from St Mark's church, with the church of St. Giminiano von Luca Carlevarijs zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 35.280,00 (€ 41.373,12) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 30.000,00 – 40.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Luca Carlevarijs erzielen.
