Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Coastal Landscape With Figures Conversing On The Harbour And Anchored Ships Beyond by Luca Carlevarijs was sold in the Old Master & British Paintings Day Sale auction at Christies in London in December 2015. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 21,250.00 (€ 28,856.48) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Luca Carlevarijs achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Venice: The Rialto Bridge from the North; and The Piazza San Marco in December 2003 with an auction result of GBP 1,125,250.00 (€ 1,593,769.19).

Die Arbeit A Coastal Landscape With Figures Conversing On The Harbour And Anchored Ships Beyond von Luca Carlevarijs wurde im Dezember 2015 in der Auktion Old Master & British Paintings Day Sale bei Christies in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 21.250,00 (€ 28.856,48) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Luca Carlevarijs erzielen.
