Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Absence by Luc Tuymans was auctioned at Phillips in New York in November last year. The price achieved of USD 453,600.00 (€ 439,407.15) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 400,000.00 – 600,000.00. Admittedly, works by Luc Tuymans have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Mrs. in February 2016 with an auction result of GBP 1,482,500.00 (€ 1,899,640.69).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Absence von Luc Tuymans kam im November letzten Jahres bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 453.600,00 (€ 439.407,15) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 400.000,00 – 600.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Luc Tuymans auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Mrs. im Februar 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.482.500,00 (€ 1.899.640,69).
