A top price for Lu Qingyuan - as previously expected
In December last year Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings, which included the work Peacock and Azaleas by Lu Qingyuan. The price achieved of HKD 226,800.00 (€ 27,178.69) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 200,000.00 – 300,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Peacock and Azaleas is the most expensive artwork by Lu Qingyuan that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im Dezember letzten Jahres führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Peacock and Azaleas von Lu Qingyuan zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 226.800,00 (€ 27.178,69) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 200.000,00 – 300.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Peacock and Azaleas das teuerste Kunstwerk von Lu Qingyuan, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
