The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,500.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,645.00 (€ 2,639.62) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Louis Sené have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Portrait Of A Lady, Circa 1795 in May 2020 with an auction result of GBP 10,625.00 (€ 11,794.92).
