A top price for Louis Rousselet - as previously expected
The work Voyage dans l'Inde by Louis Rousselet was sold in the Photographs auction at Christies in London in May 2003. The price achieved of GBP 71,700.00 (€ 99,896.15) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Voyage dans l'Inde is the most expensive artwork by Louis Rousselet that we have observed at auctions so far.
