Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Louis Ritman could be acquired at Christies in New York in September 2009 for an unexpectedly low price. In the American Paintings auction, the work Road to the Village changed hands for USD 4,750.00 (€ 3,246.75) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Louis Ritman achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work In the Garden in November 2011 with an auction result of USD 542,500.00 (€ 403,255.78).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Louis Ritman konnte im September 2009 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion American Paintings wechselte die Arbeit Road to the Village für USD 4.750,00 (€ 3.246,75) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Louis Ritman erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit In the Garden im November 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 542.500,00 (€ 403.255,78).
