In the American Art auction, the work In The Arbor changed hands for USD 182,500.00 (€ 140,276.71) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 200,000.00 – 300,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Louis Ritman - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work In the Garden, which sold at auction in November 2011 for USD 542,500.00 (€ 403,255.78).
