Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2013 Sothebys in New York held the auction American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture, which included the work Girl In The Garden by Louis Ritman. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 34,375.00 (€ 25,286.89) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Louis Ritman achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work In the Garden in November 2011 with an auction result of USD 542,500.00 (€ 403,255.78).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2013 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture durch, in der auch die Arbeit Girl In The Garden von Louis Ritman zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 34.375,00 (€ 25.286,89) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Louis Ritman erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit In the Garden im November 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 542.500,00 (€ 403.255,78).
