Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2018 Christies in New York held the auction American Art, which included the work Tropical Landscape by Louis Rémy Mignot. The price achieved of USD 187,500.00 (€ 165,592.16) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 150,000.00 – 250,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Louis Rémy Mignot - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work River Scene, Ecuador, which sold at auction in May 2012 for USD 422,500.00 (€ 341,717.89).
