Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2019 Sothebys in London held the auction Irish Art, which included the work The Massing Of The Armies by Louis le Brocquy. The price achieved of GBP 137,500.00 (€ 161,458.62) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 120,000.00 – 180,000.00. Admittedly, works by Louis le Brocquy have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Travelling Woman With Newspaper in September 2020 with an auction result of GBP 741,000.00 (€ 817,072.96).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2019 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Massing Of The Armies von Louis le Brocquy zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 137.500,00 (€ 161.458,62) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 120.000,00 – 180.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Louis le Brocquy auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Travelling Woman With Newspaper im September 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 741.000,00 (€ 817.072,96).
