Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Táin by Louis le Brocquy was auctioned at Sothebys in London in November 2019. The price achieved of GBP 87,500.00 (€ 102,746.39) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 70,000.00 – 100,000.00. Admittedly, works by Louis le Brocquy have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Travelling Woman With Newspaper in September 2020 with an auction result of GBP 741,000.00 (€ 817,072.96).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Táin von Louis le Brocquy kam im November 2019 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 87.500,00 (€ 102.746,39) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 70.000,00 – 100.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Louis le Brocquy auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Travelling Woman With Newspaper im September 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 741.000,00 (€ 817.072,96).
