Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Image Of Samuel Beckett by Louis le Brocquy was sold in the Irish Art auction at Sothebys in London in November 2019. It changed hands for a price of GBP 75,000.00 (€ 88,068.34) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. Admittedly, works by Louis le Brocquy have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Travelling Woman With Newspaper in September 2020 with an auction result of GBP 741,000.00 (€ 817,072.96).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Image Of Samuel Beckett von Louis le Brocquy wurde im November 2019 in der Auktion Irish Art bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 75.000,00 (€ 88.068,34) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 60.000,00 – 80.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Louis le Brocquy auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Travelling Woman With Newspaper im September 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 741.000,00 (€ 817.072,96).
