In January 2020 Christies in New York held the auction Old Master & British Drawings Including Works from the Collection of Jean Bonna, which included the work Male nude seen from the back by Louis-Jean-François Lagrenée. Here, the upper estimate of USD 6,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 6,875.00 (€ 6,197.60). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Louis-Jean-François Lagrenée achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Charles And Ubalde, Surrounded By Nymphs On Their Way To Rescue Renaud From The Palais D'Armide in February 2018 with an auction result of USD 325,000.00 (€ 266,153.47).

Im Januar 2020 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Old Master & British Drawings Including Works from the Collection of Jean Bonna durch, in der auch die Arbeit Male nude seen from the back von Louis-Jean-François Lagrenée zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 6.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 6.875,00 (€ 6.197,60) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Louis-Jean-François Lagrenée erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Charles And Ubalde, Surrounded By Nymphs On Their Way To Rescue Renaud From The Palais D'Armide im Februar 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 325.000,00 (€ 266.153,47).
