Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2020 Sothebys in London held the auction The Dealer's Eye | London, which included the work Bellona Calling Mars To War By Handing Over The Reins To Her Chariot by Louis-Jean-François Lagrenée. The price achieved of GBP 93,750.00 (€ 103,249.38) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Louis-Jean-François Lagrenée - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Charles And Ubalde, Surrounded By Nymphs On Their Way To Rescue Renaud From The Palais D'Armide, which sold at auction in February 2018 for USD 325,000.00 (€ 266,153.47).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 93.750,00 (€ 103.249,38) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben worden.
