Auction result well in line with expectations
The work La Chimère De Monsieur Desprez (Wollin 22; Baudicour 6) by Louis Jean Desprez was sold in the Prints & Multiples auction at Sothebys in London in April 2017. The price achieved of GBP 17,500.00 (€ 20,781.55) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Admittedly, works by Louis Jean Desprez have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Design For A Stage Set: The Temple Of Neptune in July 2015 with an auction result of GBP 87,500.00 (€ 124,045.61).
