Auction result well in line with expectations
The work La Chimère De Monsieur Desprez (Wollin 22; Baudicour 6) by Louis Jean Desprez was sold in the Prints & Multiples auction at Sothebys in London in September 2016. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 22,500.00 (€ 26,057.79) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Louis Jean Desprez have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Design For A Stage Set: The Temple Of Neptune in July 2015 with an auction result of GBP 87,500.00 (€ 124,045.61).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit La Chimère De Monsieur Desprez (Wollin 22; Baudicour 6) von Louis Jean Desprez wurde im September 2016 in der Auktion Prints & Multiples bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 22.500,00 (€ 26.057,79) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Louis Jean Desprez auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Design For A Stage Set: The Temple Of Neptune im Juli 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 87.500,00 (€ 124.045,61).
