Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A view of the Pauline Chapel during the Vigil of the Forty Hours, in the Vatican Palace, Rome by Louis Jean Desprez was sold in the Old Master and British Drawings and Watercolours auction at Christies in London in July this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 10,080.00 (€ 11,760.30) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Louis Jean Desprez achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Design For A Stage Set: The Temple Of Neptune in July 2015 with an auction result of GBP 87,500.00 (€ 124,045.61).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A view of the Pauline Chapel during the Vigil of the Forty Hours, in the Vatican Palace, Rome von Louis Jean Desprez wurde im Juli diesen Jahres in der Auktion Old Master and British Drawings and Watercolours bei Christies in London versteigert.
