Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2005 a collector was able to acquire the work Ariane allongée, d'après l'antique by Louis-Claude Vassé for EUR 1,200.00. This price was achieved in the auction DESSINS ANCIENS ET DU XIXE SIECLE at Christies in Paris and was even below the estimate range of EUR 1,500.00 – 2,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Louis-Claude Vassé achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait of Constance-Félicité-Victoire-Désirée Vassé, daughter of the artist in June 2021 with an auction result of EUR 47,880.00.

Im Dezember 2005 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Ariane allongée, d'après l'antique von Louis-Claude Vassé für EUR 1.200,00 erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion DESSINS ANCIENS ET DU XIXE SIECLE bei Christies in Paris erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Louis-Claude Vassé erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait of Constance-Félicité-Victoire-Désirée Vassé, daughter of the artist im Juni 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 47.880,00.
