Auction result well in line with expectations

In January 2005 Christies in New York held the auction Old Master and 19th Century Drawings, which included the work A lion in profile to the left, his left paw resting on a sphere by Louis-Claude Vassé. The price achieved of USD 3,600.00 (€ 2,758.83) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Louis-Claude Vassé achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait of Constance-Félicité-Victoire-Désirée Vassé, daughter of the artist in June 2021 with an auction result of EUR 47,880.00.

Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen

Im Januar 2005 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Old Master and 19th Century Drawings durch, in der auch die Arbeit A lion in profile to the left, his left paw resting on a sphere von Louis-Claude Vassé zur Versteigerung kam.
