The work Portrait of Constance-Félicité-Victoire-Désirée Vassé, daughter of the artist by Louis-Claude Vassé was sold in the Tableaux Dessins Sculptures 1300-1900, Session I auction at Sothebys in Paris in June 2021. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 45,000.00 – 60,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 47,880.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Portrait of Constance-Félicité-Victoire-Désirée Vassé, daughter of the artist is the most expensive artwork by Louis-Claude Vassé that we have observed at auctions so far.
