Auction result well in line with expectations
In February 2013 Sothebys in New York held the auction Old Master and 19th Century European Paintings and Drawings, including Property from the Estate of Giancarlo Baroni, which included the work Hercules And Hebe by Louis Chéron. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 16,250.00 (€ 12,424.50) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Louis Chéron - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Sketch For A Wall And A Ceiling Decoration With Apollo In His Chariot And Apollo Pursuing Daphne, which sold at auction in June 2001 for GBP 17,625.00 (€ 29,278.63).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Februar 2013 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Old Master and 19th Century European Paintings and Drawings, including Property from the Estate of Giancarlo Baroni durch, in der auch die Arbeit Hercules And Hebe von Louis Chéron zur Versteigerung kam.
