Here, the upper estimate of GBP 8,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 8,750.00 (€ 10,041.93). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Louis Chéron - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Sketch For A Wall And A Ceiling Decoration With Apollo In His Chariot And Apollo Pursuing Daphne, which sold at auction in June 2001 for GBP 17,625.00 (€ 29,278.63).

Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 8.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 8.750,00 (€ 10.041,93) einen neuen Besitzer.
