Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Art Connoisseur by Louis Charles Moeller was sold in the American Paintings auction at Sothebys in New York in May 2007. The price achieved of USD 22,800.00 (€ 16,947.89) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Louis Charles Moeller - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Art Critic, which sold at auction in May 2015 for USD 60,000.00 (€ 54,575.22).
