In March 2010 Sothebys in New York held the auction American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture, which included the work A Worldly Talk by Louis Charles Moeller. The »bidding war« ended at USD 10,625.00 (€ 7,855.24), 52% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Louis Charles Moeller have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Art Critic in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 60,000.00 (€ 54,575.22).

Im März 2010 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Worldly Talk von Louis Charles Moeller zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 10.625,00 (€ 7.855,24) und damit 52% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Louis Charles Moeller auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Art Critic im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 60.000,00 (€ 54.575,22).
