The work Dutch figures On A Snowy Path by Louis Apol was sold in the 19th Century European Paintings auction at Sothebys in London in November 2012. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 15,000.00 (€ 18,478.48), 25% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Louis Apol have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A horse-drawn cart on a snowy path in May 2013 with an auction result of EUR 79,500.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Dutch figures On A Snowy Path von Louis Apol wurde im November 2012 in der Auktion 19th Century European Paintings bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 15.000,00 (€ 18.478,48) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Louis Apol auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A horse-drawn cart on a snowy path im Mai 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 79.500,00.
