Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Paul Tampier Assis by Louis Anquetin was sold in the Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale auction at Sothebys in New York in November 2017. The price achieved of USD 93,750.00 (€ 78,794.76) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Louis Anquetin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Femme à sa toilette in February 2020 with an auction result of GBP 1,331,250.00 (€ 1,542,921.77).

Die Arbeit Paul Tampier Assis von Louis Anquetin wurde im November 2017 in der Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 93.750,00 (€ 78.794,76) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Louis Anquetin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Femme à sa toilette im Februar 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.331.250,00 (€ 1.542.921,77).
