The work Scholars on the Mountain by Lou Bo'An was sold in the Fine Chinese Modern Paintings auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2014. It achieved a price of HKD 750,000.00 (€ 70,931.09), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 50%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Lou Bo'An - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Landscape, which sold at auction in November 2011 for HKD 1,736,000.00 (€ 166,076.86).

Die Arbeit Scholars on the Mountain von Lou Bo'An wurde im Mai 2014 in der Auktion Fine Chinese Modern Paintings bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 750.000,00 (€ 70.931,09) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 50%. Für andere Arbeiten von Lou Bo'An mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Landscape beobachtet, die im November 2011 für HKD 1.736.000,00 (€ 166.076,86) versteigert wurde.
