In November 2007 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Modern Paintings, which included the work Flying Towards Heaven by Lou Bo'An. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 907,500.00 (€ 79,332.11), 51% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Lou Bo'An - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Landscape, which sold at auction in November 2011 for HKD 1,736,000.00 (€ 166,076.86).

Im November 2007 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Modern Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Flying Towards Heaven von Lou Bo'An zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 907.500,00 (€ 79.332,11) und damit 51% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Lou Bo'An mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Landscape beobachtet, die im November 2011 für HKD 1.736.000,00 (€ 166.076,86) versteigert wurde.
