(611 x 457 mm.) Sheet: 28 x 21 in. (711 x 533 mm.)

In July this year Christies held the auction Contemporary Edition, which included the work Standing in Light by Loie Hollowell. The »bidding war« ended at USD 20,160.00 (€ 18,294.01), 34% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Loie Hollowell achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Linked Lingams (yellow, green, blue, purple, pink) in June 2021 with an auction result of HKD 16,510,000.00 (€ 1,793,414.08).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 34 % übertroffen
Im Juli diesen Jahres führte Christies die Auktion Contemporary Edition durch, in der auch die Arbeit Standing in Light von Loie Hollowell zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 20.160,00 (€ 18.294,01) und damit 34% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Loie Hollowell erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Linked Lingams (yellow, green, blue, purple, pink) im Juni 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 16.510.000,00 (€ 1.793.414,08).
