This artwork by Mao Lizi achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Shanghai in October 2014. In the Asian and Western 20th Century & Contemporary Art auction, the work Ambiguous Flower sold for CNY 1,014,000.00 (€ 132,394.57) - well above the upper estimate of CNY 360,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Mao Lizi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in May 2015 for HKD 3,880,000.00 (€ 455,266.51).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Mao Lizi erzielte im Oktober 2014 bei Christies in Shanghai einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Asian and Western 20th Century & Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit Ambiguous Flower für CNY 1.014.000,00 (€ 132.394,57) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von CNY 360.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Mao Lizi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im Mai 2015 für HKD 3.880.000,00 (€ 455.266,51) versteigert wurde.
