Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2021 a collector was able to acquire the work '170 Feet Below Sea Level' by Liz Deschenes for USD 8,820.00 (€ 7,635.04). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Photographs at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Liz Deschenes have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Shift/Rise #10 in December 2015 with an auction result of GBP 26,250.00 (€ 35,646.24).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2021 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit '170 Feet Below Sea Level' von Liz Deschenes für USD 8.820,00 (€ 7.635,04) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Photographs bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Liz Deschenes auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Shift/Rise #10 im Dezember 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 26.250,00 (€ 35.646,24).
